Crash!!!! Huge waves
Rio has some of the best beaches on this trip. Comparing Rio’s beaches to La Paloma is like comparing a dragon to a rock. Everything is better, such as it is not windy at Rio’s beaches, the water is warmer, and the sand is so much better. And all of the beaches in Rio had fun things to do, from being crushed by a ten foot tall wave, to relaxing on the shore. The beaches are amazing, there are so many vendors going around so you will never get hungry. The vendors sold anything from grilled cheese to ice cream and all of it was delicious. The vendors didn’t only sell food and drinks, they also sold souvenirs such as swimsuits and sun glasses (see a picture of the ones I bought below).
I had a lot of fun at the beaches but I did not have only the best experiences. I got hit in the face, crushed, and cut, but somehow I still had a blast. I really enjoy having the rush of riding a wave and then getting crushed by the next. Although I love to dig holes in the sand, I never got to it at these beaches because I had so much fun in the waves. I was super surprised when the locals just floated over some of the biggest waves I saw. They must of come to the beach almost every day to get that good. The landscape was really strange to look at because there were big mountains randomly coming out of the ocean. I found that really funny because it made no sense to me. It was especially weird because there was no volcano’s or any thing to form it. The sand on the beaches was the softest I had seen in my life so it was really nice to walk on. So the next time I see waves in California I bet I’ll be so much braver.
